The sole had started to peel off my favourite pair of trainers, so I glued it back with a few minutes of work to keep them in use, out of landfill and saving the cost of buying new ones.
Glue tends to work better so before applying the glue, I used a craft knife to core the surface.
There are special purpose glues available for shoe soles, but I have always used contact adhesive and this limits the number of different types of glue I need. The first step is to apply the glue, then leave it to go tacking for a few minutes before squeezing the joint back together and leaving it for a few hours.
The next day I gave them a test to make sure the fix was successful
